This Brittish Cargo ship sunk after striking rocks in thick fog just south of Cape Town on August 5t 1909. She had been en route from London to Dunedin in New Zealand with a general cargo which included crockery, wine and champagne, explosives, and railway tracks. With bracing water temps of around 7-8 degrees and a significant swell washing us back and forth this was my first South African dive in 11 years! Great to dive with Robyn and KP from SA and Zimbabwe and thanks to JP our boat captain..Hope your hand gets better soon JP..Dive 2 we dived with many Cape Fur seals pics to follow soon. Diving was cancelled today due to the Cape Town marathon, but we didn’t find out and got caught up on Chapmans Peak with the runners!! Still it was a beautiful day..
